People love to talk about the head or the grip. But in between lies the true spine of your stroke: the shaft.It’s not just a stick – it shapes how you feel the ball, how you see the line, and how your putter behaves.
1. What does the shaft really do?
A putter shaft defines:
The lie angle
The offset, which changes how you see the face
The material, influencing stiffness and feedback
The shaft attachment point (center vs heel), affecting stroke dynamics
At RUNNER, the shaft is fully configurable to fit your unique stroke style.

2. Materials and feel
classic steel shaft – stable and forgiving
KBS GPS – engineered for putting, premium feel and responsiveness
Stiffness matters:
Stiffer = sharper feedback
Softer = smoother sensation
3. Offset: what does it change?
Offset means the shaft sits slightly in front of the face.
More offset = hands ahead, more control, less rotation
No offset = cleaner visuals, more natural release
With RUNNER, you can choose the offset that matches your eye and wrist action.
4. Center shaft or heel shaft?
Center shaft: better for straight-back strokes, symmetrical feel
Heel shaft: traditional setup, ideal for arcing strokes
And with RUNNER, you can test both during fitting.
Real story
A player with a straight stroke used a heel-offset shaft. Customizable by material, size and color. She was constantly manipulating the face.→ Switched to a center shaft, no offset. Her stroke stabilized, confidence came back.
At RUNNER, we make sure the shaft fits you – not the other way around.
